Lock-up torched

POLICE are appealing for information after an arson attack on a council lock up garage when the metal door was levered open and the car inside set on fire.

A neighbour overlooking the garages on St Giles Avenue in Sleaford raised the alarm after seeing smoke pouring from the building on the night of Wednesday, September 5.

Landlords, North Kesteven District Council, confirmed neighbouring garages were undamaged. They will be looking into the options for repair but, as there is a high demand for garages in Sleaford, it is likely repairs will be carried out quickly.

Anyone with information about this incident should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 29 of September 6.
