Offender breaks in through unlocked window

HOUSEHOLDERS are being urged by police to ensure their windows and doors are locked after the burglary of a property in Cranwell.

The break-in occurred between Friday and Tuesday, August 3-7 at a house on Sleaford Road, Cranwell.

The offender gained access to the house through an unlocked ground floor window and stole a 42-in TV with surround sound system and a Nikon camera from the house, along with a lawnmower and tools from the garage.

Police are now urging residents to ensure they lock all doors and windows when they are away and always lock ground-floor doors and windows at night.

Anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the Cranwell area or who has information about this crime is asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 305 of August 9.
