Police alert after report of ‘suspicious’ man by River Slea

Police are warning residents to be on the alert after a report of a man acting suspiciously near the River Slea.

At 8.20pm last night (Wednesday) Lincolnshire Police say they received a report of a man acting suspiciously around the banks of the river Slea footpath between Westgate and the A15.

The man was described as white, with short dark hair, medium build, in his early 20’s with a foreign, possibly eastern European, accent wearing a white/light coloured T-shirt.

PCSO Nic Page of Sleaford Neighbourhood Policing Team went on: “The male approached the female whilst she was out walking her dog along the footpath of the River Slea. He was acting very suspiciously shouting to the female and asking her unusual questions.

“If you are a witness to this incident or have been involved in a similar incident recently please call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 391 of 13/05/15.”
