Police believe a pony’s tail hair may have been cut to use as part of plan to steal it later.

Bracebridge Heath Neighbourhood Policing Team are investigating the incident reported on December 31 where tail hair had been cut from the 12-year-old chestnut cob being kept on Nocton Fen Lane, Nocton.

The pony was unhurt but police believe this may be used as a possible ‘marker’ towards a future theft, although this cannot be confirmed. Anyone experiencing similar activity, should call 101 quoting incident 156 of 31/12/14.
