  • ‘Mindless vandals’ leave trail of damage at park

Vandals have left pieces of smashed bottles and damaged fencing used by Billingborough Cricket Club at the recreational ground in Horbling Road over the weekend.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “These mindless vandals have caused damage to the surrounding safety fencing, along with leaving smashed glass bottles all around and the cricket club’s fencing has also been targeted and damaged.

This kind of behaviour is inexcusable and will not be tolerated

“This kind of behaviour is inexcusable and will not be tolerated, so police will be stepping up their foot patrols during night time hours.”

Also in Billingborough, a set of builder’s lights were stolen from a garden in Folkingham Road between 1am on February 25 and 8am on February 27.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incidents 166 of March 9 or 479 of February 27.
