Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information after 223 solar panels valued at £40,000 were stolen from a farm in Helpringham.

Police received a report of the theft from a farm on Scredington Road in Helpringham, Sleaford, where they say intruders forced entry to the farm, damaging the entrance barrier, overnight on Tuesday/Wednesday.

PCSO Nic Page of Sleaford Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “It is thought that the panels have been transported by a lorry from the tyre marks that have been left. If you are a witness to this crime or saw any suspicious activity on Scredington Road overnight from August 18-19 please call 101 quoting incident number 63 of 19/8/15.”
