Three male juveniles arrested and bailed on suspicion of arson following a major straw bale fire near Sleaford have been released without charge

All three had been arrested and questioned after the fire in a field near Quarrington on October 19 which destroyed 12,000 straw bales being stored to be used as fuel for the Sleaford Renewable Energy Plant.

Answering bail yesterday (Wednesday), the two 14 year olds and one 13 year old have all been released without charge, with no further action to be taken, according to a police spokeswoman this morning.

She said the case will be reopened and investigations will continue.
