Two men on suspicion of red diesel theft

Police stopped two men in a car on the B1188 on Sunday evening on suspicion of stealing red diesel.

The men in a blue Renault Laguna, registration R94 3SLW, were not local and the vehicle contained several 25 litre drums of diesel that believed to have been stolen from somewhere.

Both men are assisting the police with the enquiry.
