A NO-ENTRY sign in Sleaford was thoughtlessly spray painted over last week, nearly causing an accident.

The No Entry sign half way down Handley Street had been sprayed over, so it was impossible to tell what the sign was depicting.

An unsuspecting motorist then proceeded to drive down the street the wrong way, apparently unaware that this was a one-way street.

After the Sleaford Standard called the local Sleaford Community Policing Team, the sign was promptly cleaned up by a member of the Highways department at Lincolnshire County Council.
