A charity which supports people affected by dementia in South Lincolnshire and a Sleaford theatre group have been shortlisted for a share of the Lloyds Bank Community Fund 2014 in their area.

Dementia Support South Lincs and Sleaford Little Theatre have the chance to be awarded a grant of up to £3,000 from the scheme

There are four good causes shortlisted in each community and Lloyds Bank is inviting everyone to vote for the causes they would most like to support.

Dementia Support South Lincs helps more than 200 families living with dementia through a range of activities.

Particularly popular are the arts-related sessions which members find fun, but which also have a therapeutic value - not just those with dementia, but also their carers.

Sleaford Little Theatre owns its own listed 1825 playhouse and needs to install an effective heating system costing £8,000.

Members of the public can vote for their preferred community group online, by SMS or Twitter, or in a branch of Lloyds bank up until October 10.

The cause with most votes in each community will receive £3,000, with the others receiving £2,000, £1,000 or £500 depending on the votes received.
