The money was raised at a Christmas jumper day held at the school. The charity’s volunteer ambassador, Chris Parkes, was on hand to collect the cheque.

Mr Parkes has been fundraising for more than 30 years and has now raised an impressive £374,000.

Year eight pupil Evie Burrows, from Newark, suggested the jumper day and the charity.
