Opportunities for Zumba, football and indoor golf are now all at the disposal of a village primary school.

Pupils at Nocton Community Primary School have been given permission to use the top-of-the-range facilities at the sports hall on Nocton Estate.

The opportunity came about after headteacher Andy Canadine liased with Sue Feary, leisure manager for the building’s owners Munks Agricultural Contractors Ltd, on providing space for the children to take part in sporting activities.

Now the children have full access to the hall and will be able to enjoy use of equipment, including basketball hoops and indoor football goals as well as the changing facilities. They will also make use of the hall for Zumba and indoor golf.

Mr Canadine said: “We are incredibly excited to be able to use this sports hall as part of our drive to get pupils involved in many different sports. I am grateful to Sue for all her help.”

However, the school is a 15 minute walk away from the hall, and Mr Canadine is appealing for any businesses who may be able to provide a mini bus for the children to get them there safely. If you can help, call Mr Canadine on 01526 320234.
