The Farm Kitchen arranged at trip for three Lincoln Schools to visit the kitchen where their meals are made, see the combine harvester on the farm and make some treats to take home.

The children - from Manor Leas Infant School, North Hykeham All Saints Primary school and Monks Abbey Primary School - had a guided tour around the kitchen, where the hot lunches meals are made, and then had lots of photos taken whilst looking at the combine harvester.

They had a talk by Sam, from Bloomsbury Bakery, about how he makes the Farm Kitchen’s bread and had a try at making their own Tomato Focaccia Bread.

They then stopped to have a taste trial of one of the new recipes for next term - Banana and Sultana Slice - it scored 11 out of 10 - then finished with decorating flowerpots and planting their own Cherry Tomato Plants to take home, before tucking into hot dogs.
