The clock was turned back several hundred years when St Andrew’s Primary School in Leasingham welcomed a ‘Tudor peddlar’ for a lesson in Tudor times.

The visitor spent the day with pupils in the Canterbury class, both speaking and getting the children involved with Tudor artefacts and dress.

Headteacher David Hodgson said: “The children especially enjoyed the longbow, musket and leaches which were most intriguing. It was a fantastic way to experience Tudor life and the children were really enthused with all they could look at and touch.”
