Nocton is ‘sixth best primary in Lincolnshire’

As the latest primary school league tables were released on Friday, several of our local area schools were among the county’s high fliers.
Most notably was Nocton Primary School, who were placed sixth in Lincolnshire based on the number of pupils expected to achieve a Level Four in English and maths, while Welbourn primary school came in seventh place.
Brant Broughton Primary School were eighth in the county and also came fifth in Lincolnshire for the amount of pupils scoring a Level Five in both English and maths.
Billingborough Primary School was also placed in the top 10 schools in the county based on value added.
Nocton school head teacher Andy Canadine said: “We are all very proud of the achievement of our pupils and we are obviously happy to have done well. League tables tell a very small part of the story of the work carried out in our schools and I know from experience that there is excellent, professional work being carried out in primary schools across the Sleaford area.”
The proportion of Lincolnshire pupils scoring at least Level Four in English and Maths has risen by six per cent this year to 81 per cent, above the national average of 79 per cent.
