ALL the pupils and staff at Cranwell Primary School took part in a school picnic with an Olympic theme.

Each of the classes created a dish from one of the countries competing at the London 2012 Games.

This provided the picnic with a range of dishes from all over the globe, including Italian, Greek and Indian.

The food was served up in the school’s cookery workshop area and, with the weather staying fine, children and staff were able to enjoy their picnic outside.

In keeping with the Olympic theme, all the pupils of the school came together to create the Olympic rings on the playing field.

In the afternoon there was a range of traditional style games to play, with each class devising two or three games for the occasion.

The event raised £288 for school projects.
