PRE-SCHOOL tots took part in their own mini-Olympics to mark the arrival of the torch through Sleaford last week.

Quarrington Pre-School manager Jo McHenry said all the children made their own torches and they invited Carre’s Grammar School
PE teacher Ben Pickard
to go along do some little sporting
activities with the tots.

He brought along some of his sports leaders from the Joint Sixth Form to the Quarrington parish hall and ran a series of events such as running, jumping and balancing.

The youngsters were divided into teams from around the world and each got a medal at the end for taking part as proud parents looked on.
