Two budding young scribes were shortlisted in the National Theatre’s Screenwriting Competition for 15-19 year-olds.
Plays written by Kesteven and Sleaford High School Selective Academy pupils Katie Mountford (pictured, left) and Phoebe Duckmanton (right) were chosen out of 285 entries.
This shortlist was then whittled down to just nine - with Phoebe’s play ‘Dissonant’ going on to be selected.
A spokesman for the school said they were ‘delighted’, adding: “The winning play will be announced on Monday.”
“The five students from KSHSSA who submitted plays all did a fantastic job and we are very proud of Phoebe for getting so far in the competition. “
