A PLAYGROUND has been given a new make-over thanks to fund-raising by the school PTA.

Cranwell Primary School now has a beautiful motif of their logo on their infant playground as results of events organised by Parent Teachers Association to raise the money for the project.

The PTA committee held school discos and breakfasts and they also received generous donations from the community, including one from the craft and thrift shop in Cranwell village. In total they managed to raise £3,000.

They are now continuing with their fund-raising to be able to create the same markings on the junior playground and will be holding a summer barbecue in school on Thursday, June 28, from 5.30pm to 8pm, with a car boot sale included.

This event is open to anyone. If you would be interested in attending, call Cranwell Primary School on 01400 261271.
