Children at Ruskington’s Chestnut Street CE Primary School took part in a national scheme during October called No Pens Wednesday.

The day was spent doing lots of creative speaking and listening lessons. A spokesman said they had a range of exciting activities happening across the school: “Our nursery children worked on their control and motor skills by rolling tyres, year 4 developed their problem solving skills and passed a football through a playing card. Up in year 6 they baked and year 5 arrived to find that there had been an alien invasion and they had left their craft and prints on the school field.” These are just a few of the exciting things that happened. She said the children learned so much and enjoyed all the activities. It was so much fun the school is planning on doing other ‘No Pens Wednesdays’.
