Year 7 pupils at Kesteven and Sleaford High School went back in time to the year 60AD when their teacher, former Time Team expert Guy De la Bedoyere, organised a Roman day for them.

Dressed in Roman attire, the girls were visited by History off the Page, who specialise in creating history experiences. They transported the pupils back to the Bouddican revolt.

In the morning, the girls tried their hand at Roman skills, including writing and brooch manufacturing, then in the afternoon they took part in role-playing activities, with some taking on the role of slaves to prepare a banquet and others providing entertainment. Everyone then sat down to enjoy the banquet to round off the day. Photo: 0490SB-7
