PUPILS splashed out to raise over £200 for a sporting good cause.
Fifteen children from Winchelsea primary school in Ruskington took part in a fundraising Swimathon to raise money for Sport Relief.
They were allowed the use of Sleaford Leisure Centre pool for free during public sessions and the children swam continuous lengths for just under two hours non-stop.
Headteacher Helen Duckett said: “The children were exhausted by the time they finished although they were determined that they wanted to keep going.”
She thanked the pool management and also Phillips Bus Company for transporting the pupils for free.
“Lots of parents also came to support us and cheer the children on and I was very proud of them all.”
So far the school has raised £200 with money still coming in.
