Three fire crews were called out late last night (Tuesday) to a fire which started in a bin.

Crews from Billinghay, Metheringham and Woodhall Spa attended the call to Pinfold Lane, Walcott at 11.19pm where the fire had caused damage to bins, a fence and part of a garage wall.

A Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the fire was put out by firefighters using breathing apparatus and a hose. There were no injuries reported and investigations point to the fire starting from hot material being tipped into the bin.
