Fire wrecks roof of bungalow in Coleby

Five fire engines were involved in tackling a fire in a bungalow at its height last night (Monday).

The fire was reported just before 8pm starting in the roof space of the bungalow on Coronation Crescent in Coleby.

The blaze severely damaged the roof and spread to an outbuilding and two wheelie bins, taking several hours to put out using the Cobra high pressure water system, two hose reels and breathing apparatus.

Crews from Waddington, Metheringham, North Hykeham and two from Lincoln were in attendance.

Fire Investigation Officers were still establishing the cause of the fire. The occupants of the property escaped unhurt.
