Firefighters called in to free two people stuck in lift in Ruskington care home

Firefighters were called out to free two people trapped in a broken down lift yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

The crew from Sleaford were called to the property, Cherry Tree Lodge care home on Station Road at 4.14pm.

A fire service spokesman said emergency lifting equipment was used to lower the lift to the ground floor to safely remove the two people.

Cherry Tree Lodge cares for people with asperger’s syndrome, autism, epilepsy and challenging behaviour.
