Firefighters at Billingborough fire station raised hundreds of pounds for charity on Saturday at a car wash event.

The team picked up squeegees and buckets in return for donations to the Firefighters Charity, which supports injured and retired firefighters and their families.

Gary Bellamy, watch manager, said: “It was great to see so many people and we managed to raise nearly £300. A car wash from our crew was obviously an offer too good to refuse!”
