Brant Broughton and Stragglethorpe residents are holding their first annual Village Day.
The event this Saturday opens with garage sales at a dozen or more homes around the parish from 10am.
One of the organisers, Gill Thornton, explains: “A traditional produce show is to be held in St Helen’s Church, viewing from 1.30pm and live music and a caricature artist.”
There will be more events at the Wesleyan Chapel, Friends Meeting House, the school and playing field.
There will be a charity car wash at the fire station and a car boot sale on the playing field.
Gifts and crafts will be on sale at the Food Boutique, as well as food and beverages.
Live music and open mic sessions will feature at the Generous Briton pub and there will be a Caribbean Evening at the Jubilee Hall to round off the day.
A map of event locations and timings is available from The Generous Briton.
