A charity fundraiser is launching his latest project - staging a five-a-side football tournament in aid of The National Autistic Society.

Dave Newman of Sleaford has been one of the key organisers of the charity family fun day at Billingborough Cricket Club and was one half of a record-breaking 48-hour cricket net session partnership also raising money for Brain Tumour Research.

The latest event will be held at Sleaford Rugby Club on East Road as part of a huge family fun day on Saturday May 30. It starts at 10am and teams of five players plus three substitutes can enter for £40. All ages and abilities welcome.

Up to 20 teams are required to fit into two leagues of 10, leading to a semi-final and final, with medals and trophies to be won.

Closing date for entries is May 1, places are on a first come first served basis. For more information contact Donna Rowland on 07824 559064 or Dave Newman on 07984 908234.
