Keep fit class friends have bared all with only Santa hats to cover their modesty for a calendar to support a women’s refuge charity.
Fitness instructor and sport specific massage therapist Julie Spencer of Sleaford runs Titanium Therapies and came up with the idea of a nude calendar, recruiting women from her exercise class as models.
Julie said: “I’ve worked really hard to get this calender up and running and we are set to raise over £1,000 for Refuge, supporting women and children against domestic violence. And we wish to promote ladies’ body confidence.”
She explained: “It started three weeks ago with a few sketches of rough ideas I had, then I spoke to my friend and asked if she thought it would work. I spoke to a photographer, Natalie Lauren Wood, and she volunteered to do it.
“Then all I had to do was convince 12 lovely ladies in my exercise class I teach to take their clothes off.”
She need not have worried, as she explained: “They were all brilliant - we had three day’s notice and everyone turned up for the photo shoot (with a glass of wine) and we had such a giggle.”
Others taking part include Erika Stuart, Louisa Berrick, Kerry Marshall, Claire Asbrey, Tania Addlesee, Becci O’Neil, Emma Squires and Katherine Carrol. It is sponsored by Ray Butler and Ringrose Law and Sleaford Leisure Centre provided the venue. The calendar is £10 from Sleaford Leisure Centre, Appetites, Total Sports and Emily’s Bakehouse, Millers Wine Bar, New Image Gym and Zeebra hair salon.
