THE India Garden in Sleaford has undergone a dramatic transformation.
After serious flooding from the rainy weather in June, the Indian restaurant in Sleaford Market Place underwent a thorough re-fit and redecoration, including carpets and flooring, redesigned bar area, lighting and completely refurbished customer toilets.
To celebrate the new, contemporary look and encourage customers to see the difference, proprietor Nadim Aziz has joined with the Sleaford Standard to bring readers a fantastic meal offer. Just cut out the coupon on this page and present it to staff at the India Garden to claim a free starter when purchasing a main meal to eat in (only one voucher per meal purchased). The offer runs until close of business on October 16. Look out for more coupons in future editions of the Standard.
Mr Aziz was thrilled with the grand re-opening by Mayor of Sleaford Trevor Mayfield two weeks ago. The restaurant was fully booked thanks to the attraction of the opening night offer and that is why he has decided to continue it through the Standard. He said: “Everyone has been really impressed with the new look, especially in the evening when the lights are dimmed and the changeable mood lighting takes effect.”
During the opening weeks women customers will also receive a single fresh rose as a special touch.
Discussing his new look, Mr Aziz said he has had a lot of compliments about the more welcoming atmosphere. He said: “We have a good relationship with our customers and before I started I showed them samples of my proposed colour scheme to see what they thought.”
He thanked everyone for their ideas for colour combinations.
His son Safayth Hussein has had a lot of input into the new lighting too and he thanked plumber Liam Cox for doing an excellent job in refitting the bathrooms within the tight deadline.
The restaurant has just updated its wine menu with two new reds and a white, as well as two new sparkling wines to give customers new options while keeping the most popular ones. And it is developing its new website with the help of David Blink showing off its full menu while still looking at taking orders on line, and will soon be on Facebook.
