The prestigious Blackpool Tower Ballroom was the venue for the Cheer Dance UK national competition when three troops from Sleaford took part.

The three troops came from Go Dance Studios, the dance, fitness and performing arts school, based in Sleaford and Lincoln, competing in team and solo events on Sunday March 22.

Go Dance Dazzlers - the nine years and under squad, Go Dance Dynamites - the 13 years and under squad and Go Dance Tanzanite - the under 17 years squad, all competed and secured 10 different solo trophies.

Emily Reid cleaned up with 1st place in the 10 year olds solo event, Ellie Ingamells danced above her age group and came away with 2nd place alongside Emily Dunham who came in 3rd in the 14 years solo event.

Michelle Cooper (Principal of Go Dance Studios), Helen Jones and Jade Mountain (Cheer Dance teachers) were extremely proud of all who performed at Blackpool. Jade said: “They were incredible and a credit to the school. A big thank you to all of our supportive parents, our mini bus driver Helen White and our sponsors (Hockmeyer Motors and GForce).
