Sleaford’s National Centre for Craft and Design (NCCD) will be hosting a young designers portfolio clinic this month to help aspiring artists.

If you are considering a creative career, applying to university or college, or preparing for your GCSEs or A-levels, this is a perfect opportunity to gain some feedback on your portfolio in preparation for any interviews or coursework you may have coming up or just to talk through some of your ideas.

The session runs at the NCCD on Saturday between 1-4pm.

It is free and aimed at students aged 12 and over.

○ A second workshop this month is titled How To Build Your Confidence In Yourself And Your Work.

It takes place on Wednesday, January 28 from 10am to 4pm.

The workshop aims to help you find the mindset, tools and techniques to boost your confidence in life and work, giving you more energy and a clearer sense of direction to overcome blocks and barriers.

Admission is free for Design Factory members and £25 for non-members. (Tel: 01529 308710)

○ The next in a series of life drawing classes takes place on Saturday from 10am-4pm.

A range of materials and a limited number of easels will be available, but bring along your own supplies if you would like to use something specific.

Admission is priced at £18.
