Another healthy stroll
AN extra regular walk suitable for people wanting to get fit has been added to a growing schedule for the district.
North Kesteven Social Strollers have added a new walk to their weekly list health walks available.
Taking place in Skellingthorpe each week, visitors are being invited to go along each Thursday, starting from the Heritage Room in the Community Centre Car Park (LN6 5UU) at 11am.
A health walk is defined as ‘a short, safe, social, local, low level, led walk, often by volunteers’ and is open for anyone to take part, just turn up on the day. This walk is suited to those who are new to walking and want to begin with a small amount of exercise.
The walk is free – you will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to your first session. The walks are a great way to meet new people and socialise and will last no more than one hour. For details contact Donna Lill on 01522 870252 or email: nkhealthandsports@leisureconnection.co.uk
