Ladies strutted their stuff to raise money for a Sleaford sexual health and advice clinic last week.

The New Life church on Mareham Lane, Sleaford, organised a fashion show on Friday night to raise money for the Alternatives Pregnancy Advice Centre.

Despite the adverse weather conditions, over 70 people turned out to support the event, which boasted clothes from several high street stores including Next, Topshop, River Island, Monsoon, Marks and Spencer, New Look, Country Casuals and more, provided by SOS Clothing.

Posing as models to strut their stuff on the catwalk were several volunteers from the church itself or from Alternatives, and guests were able to browse the clothes after they were worn on the runway, as well as enjoying drinks and canapes.

The event has raised over £400 for the Sleaford based charity, and organiser Annie Munro said that it was great night and went really well.

Alternatives, of which Annie is a trustee, is a new charity which offers free pregnancy testing and confidential, unbiased information and support to anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy.

It also offers a 10-week counselling programme for anyone struggling to cope with a termination experience or other baby loss, and runs sessions for young people about making the right choice when it comes to sexual health and contraception.
