AFTER successfully losing weight on a strict diet plan, a Sleaford super slimmer has started up a branch of the diet scheme to help others follow in her footsteps.

Sherrilee Harris lost four stone in 18 months and to help others be as successful, she has opened a branch of Slimming World in Ancaster.

She decided to shed the pounds back in the spring of 2011 when her husband Chris pointed out she was approaching her 40th birthday, and she didn’t want to be, in her own words, “40 and fat.”

Sherrilee explained: “I decided to go with Slimming World because I’d lost one and a half stone before by following their plan, and I took it slow and steady.”

Slimming World’s diet plans consist of healthy but filling meals, and vegetarian Sherrilee found it easy as the meals were just the kind of foods she loves. Sherrilee is on course to reach her target weight, and her husband Chris has also lost two and a half stone.

Sherrilee became a Slimming World consultant and has set up sessions in Ancaster on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm in the function room at Woody’s Bar. Newcomers are welcome to turn up on the night or ring Sherrilee beforehand to introduce themselves. The first few sessions are dedicated to explaining how the diet works and how to incorporate it into your lifestyle to maintain the weight loss.

Sherrilee is still a member of the Sleaford branch of Slimming World to keep up her own weight loss.

Anyone interested in joining the Ancaster group can go along to a meeting or email Sherrilee on mrshaps@hotmail.com
