Walk for Marie Curie this summer

YOU can help terminally ill people simply by going for an evening stroll.

Marie Curie Cancer Care will be holding a summer evening walk at Grimsthorpe Castle on Friday August 17, and is calling on everyone to take part to help local Marie Curie Nurses.

The 10km walk and celebration at Grimsthorpe Castle is one of several ‘Walk Ten’ events taking place at 25 beautiful locations across the UK, sponsored by home emergency insurer HomeServe for a fantastic third year.

Registration is £10 per person (under 16s go free) and everyone is encouraged to raise as much as possible to support Marie Curie Cancer Care.

All the funds raised will allow Marie Curie Nurses to provide more hours of care, totally free, for terminally ill people in their own homes.

The 10km twilight walk will take you through the grounds of this stunning estate, taking in rolling countryside, woodland, fields and lake.

After the walk settle down on your picnic blanket for an evening of live music and family style entertainment before we gather at 10pm to mark the time when our Marie Curie Nurses start their night shift with a firework display.
