Two women from Sleaford are teaming up to bravely have their heads shaved all in the name of their chosen cancer charity.
Susan Garner (nee Spry) and Sally Oliver have known each other for 40 years.
Sally explains: “We first met when we were 10 years of age at the William Alvey School and have been good mates ever since.
“We are both from Sleaford. Susan is a home care support worker for the elderly and I’m a residential care worker for children.”
Sally was diagnosed with cancer last year and underwent all the treatmen, coming through the other side. Now, they both feel the need to put something back by doing a sponsored head shave for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Sally said: “It’s all for a good cause due to us both being 50 this year too.”
Susan is excited to be having a full head shave while Sally will go for a number two shave. Sally said: “I must admit I’m a little more nervous than Susan, I’m determined to have it done.”
The cut will take place at Eclipse hair salon in the Bristol Arcade at 3pm on the October 26. Anyone can leave a donation or sponsorship at the salon.
