Wake up and smell the coffee to help cancer care charity

The annual Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee morning event will be taking place again this week with various groups, businesses and individuals holding their brew-ups for the cancer care charity.

The main event for Macmillan Cancer Support will be held on Friday.

There will be a coffee morning at St Andrew’s School in Leasingham, in the hall on Friday between 9.30am and 11.30am and one on Saturday at 3 Church View, Leasingham, from 10.30am to 1pm.

Miller’s Bar in Money’s Yard, Sleaford will be serving charity cuppas from 10am to 5pm.

All proceeds will also be going to the Macmillan charity from a coffee morning organised for Friday from 11am by Susan Brown at 50A London Road, Sleaford. She will be selling plants, jams and chutney, biscuits and cakes. There will be a raffle and games.

Turnbull’s builders merchants will be holding their coffee morning on Friday from 9am to 12noon at their Southgate offices.

Ringrose Law will be serving coffee and cakes from 10am-2pm on Friday at their Southgate offices. Nationwide Building Society will also be brewing up from 10am on Friday.

Sleaford parish church rooms will be holding a coffee morning with stalls and games from 9.30am on Friday.

Ruskington Methodist Church will be brewing up from 9am on Friday on Chapel Street.

Maddison Redsell will be serving coffee and cake from 11am at Digby Village Hall in North Street. People can bring along nibbles.
