Help Sleaford firefighters decorate Santa’s sleigh

Sleaford firefighters are appealing for the public’s help to make santa’s sleigh more Christmassy!

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue has teamed up with Santa this year to spread some Christmas cheer around Sleaford but they need your help.

The crews at Sleaford Fire Station have helped Santa build a brand new sleigh ahead of his upcoming tour of the town next month but now they need help from residents to make it look as Christmassy as possible.

In particular, the crew are looking for: a thick Santa suit – he needs to stay warm outside!; a snowman; fake snow; fairy lights and tinsel.

Colin Calam, crew manager at Sleaford Fire Station says: “The crew have worked hard to build Santa a new sleigh but now we need residents to help us with the finishing touches.

“We’ve done things like this before and the generosity of the public has always been overwhelming. I’m hoping they’ll help us once more and make this a special Christmas for Sleaford.”

If you’d like to make a donation for Santa’s sleigh, simply drop them off at Sleaford’s temporary fire station on East Road. Alternatively, you can call the station on 01529 303896.
