A customer service assistant working in the ticket office at Sleaford railway station has been presented with an award at a ceremony in London.

East Midlands Trains employee Kim Cinavas of Heckington was given a Bronze Customer Service Champion award at the annual Stagecoach Group Champions Awards.

The awards recognise excellence over six areas, including Safety, Health, Community, Customer Service, Environment and Innovation in Stagecoach Group’s bus, rail, tram and coach businesses in the UK and North America. All winners received a trophy, cash prize and a two night stay in London incorporating the award ceremony.

TV personality Ferne McCann presented the awards. She is pictured right with Mrs Cinavas and East Midlands Trains Managing Director Jake Kelly.

Mrs Cinavas was described as ‘the epitome of excellent customer service, regularly receiving glowing commendations from her customers’. Kim regularly goes above and beyond for her customers, helping with everything from luggage to reassuring a customer’s nervous stepson who was preparing to travel alone.
