Failing to provide an energy certificate and not complying with an improvement notice has resulted in a landlord being ordered to pay more than £1,800.
North Kesteven District Council took action against Sharon Clarke, who owns a private rented property in Akrotiri Square, Nocton.
The case was heard in her absence at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Monday, August 8, where she was found guilty of the two charges.
She was sentenced to a fine of £660 per charge, costs of £450 and a victim surcharge of £66.
Councillor Richard Wright, Executive Board Member for enforcement, said: “We have a duty to make sure that private rented homes are safe and secure for their tenants and will not shy away from taking action where rules and regulations are not being complied with.”
