I would just like to say how delighted I am to see the Sleaford Town Awards running again this year.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of the positive stories and the many contributions people make to our wonderful town – often with little reward – and look forward to seeing the ones yet to feature.
In a time when it is easy to concentrate on the doom and gloom, this certainly helps brighten up my week.
There are so many people who deserve a good ‘pat on the back’ for all of the work they do – giving up their time freely to help others and the community in which they live.
There have also been some great stories of individual achievements.
Who knew there were so many inspirational people living around us – what a great example to us all?
I am, however, pleased I am not on the judging panel because trying to separate so many worthy individuals and organisations looks an almost-impossible task!
Well done to all who are nominated – I do hope you have a great evening when the awards are handed out.
I eagerly await seeing who will be crowned the winners later this year – good luck to all those nominated.
