People so generous
EDITOR - Through your pages I would like to thank all those who contributed to the charity bucket at my recent 80th birthday celebrations, both at the children's party in the morning and also the evening celebration, which raised £250.
This is being sent to Christian Aid with an order for two herds of goats – 120; 16 ducks – 24; a community tap – 45; mosquito nets for three families – 26; paints and brushes for women to learn signwriting – 20; and hula hoops for the children to play – 19.
I don't know which country will benefit but just hope that your generous giving will enable others to have a better life and to attain the same age as me!
