Road plans fantastic: Let's move with times

EDITOR - I get fed up with people who would rather save a few trees than let our town move with the times!

Planners have obviously gone with the most suitable route for Sleaford and have promised that in return we will get even more green space and new trees planted.

The plans for the new road, the new Tesco and The Maltings project look fantastic for this town and essential if we want to stop the younger people of Sleaford moving to somewhere more exciting.

Sleaford is a small market town which could also be a fun place to live for young people, as well as older.

As a 30 something male who is Sleafordian born and bred, I find it sad we currently have nowhere to buy clothes from and our night life is almost dead.

Sleaford has to move on and quickly before it dies.

Tesco Extra will bring new people shopping into this town and stop people from Sleaford going to Lincoln, Grantham and Boston.

The development will almost certainly bring in new retailers and nightlife too.

Sleaford needs to have a balance for the young and old and when this project is complete, I'm sure it will have.

If it gets stopped, Sleaford will be a ghost town full of charity shops, mobility scooters and over 55 developments.
