Show on such a scale is remarkable

EDITOR – I would like to add my praise to that of last week’s correspondent, Helen Pask, for the organisers of Heckington Show.

I attend the show most years, but I still find it remarkable that a village can host an event on this scale and do it so successfully.

Perhaps too many of us now take it for granted that Heckington Show will provide such an amazing weekend of activities and attractions, but we should not forget the amount of work that goes in behind the scenes to make it happen.

I for one think the show committee do a stunning job year on year and we are very fortunate to have such an event on our doorstep.
