Solution should be found for solar panel dilemma
EDITOR - I can understand the frustrations of the Stephens family at having their application for solar panels turned down by the planners (Standard, August 1).
I am not a lover of solar panels, but with the emphasis now on sustainable forms of energy, it does seem a little ironic that when someone does take steps to provide just that, bureaucracy does not make it easy.
Obviously, the family should have sought planning permission before they had the panels installed, but I would not have thought having the panel fitted to the aviaries rather than the main property it would have caused such a significant impact on Bloxholm Hall next door.
Hopefully, the planning authority and the family can between them find a suitable solution.
