Thank you for supporting our Celebration Day

EDITOR – On behalf of the organising committee for the Ruskington Celebration Day, I am writing to thank all those who supported the event held on June 2.

The whole day went very well, with few problems, and everyone I spoke to thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We could not have done this without the support of local people who helped organise the event in many different ways – the stall holders, the people doing refreshments, the people manning the High Street, the shopkeepers who did window displays and many others who worked very hard behind the scenes.

Thank you as well to the Standard newspaper for printing all the articles that we sent in and for the two-page spread both before and after the event which helped to publicise it.

We are a non-profit making committee, doing this purely to showcase our village, and we think we did just that on this occasion.

Thank you again to all those who helped in any way.
