Thank you ‘generous’ residents

EDITOR - I would like to say a big thank-you to everyone who made The Shining Star Trust’s latest event such a success over the weekend.

On Saturday night, a Reggae Night took place at Leasingham Village Hall and it was a great success.

More than £1,000 was raised for the trust, which supports children in India living with HIV and AIDS.

Two bands performed on the night and there was Caribbean food for all to enjoy.

The trustees would like to thank all those who supported us and made it a great night.

Ninety people came along on the night and were so generous.

The next trust event will be a Christmas Ceilidh on Saturday, December 1.
