The shops closed when Tesco came

EDITOR - We look forward to the Sleaford Standard each week and the first read is the letters.

Well done councillor Birks, keep writing.

The Sleaford I first knew was a busy market town. There were butchers, bakers, grocers and fruiterers. We supplied Roy Hix, a family business, with strawberries that were picked fresh, early morning.

Tesco came, shops closed and the strawberries were ploughed up.
