The Sleaford and District Lionesses have donated £3,000 to Arthritis Research UK and the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

The women presented cheques to Emma McDonald from Arthritis Research UK and Helena Mair from the BHF from money raised during Lioness Suzanne Creedon’s year as president, 2014-2015.

Emma said the £2,000 raised at the Lioness golf day would be used at Queens Medical Centre’s Pain Centre, where research is being undertaken into pain management for Arthritis patients.

Helena said the £1,000 raised at the cabaret and canapé night would go to projects in the North Kesteven Area. The Lionesses said they were pleased the money raised in Sleaford would be used to benefit the local area.
